Teams must register 1 hour before first game at the field of play with a completed Roster Form. Failure to register will result in automatic disqualification from the Tournament without a refund of the fee.
Teams must provide the required credentials. All U.S. teams must provide valid laminated Player I.D. Cards with photographs, and signed Medical Release Forms. USYSA teams from outside of Region IV must also provide approved Travel Papers which must include a roster listing all players authorized to travel. Proper Player Loan Forms will be required at Registration along with other required credentials, as required by the team’s State Association. U.S. teams registered through US Club Soccer must provide the appropriate travel documentation for the organization to which they are affiliated.
RULES OF PLAY
All games will be played by FIFA rules modified by US Youth Soccer and CYSA-South and each participating team is guaranteed three games.
Player cards may be checked and rosters verified before each game.
Maximum of eighteen (18) players on the roster.
Unlimited loan players.
Home team will be the first listed team on the schedule/game card and the online posted schedule
Home team will select which sideline and which goal to defend on the field they prefer. If the side of the field is pre-determined by the tournament or referee, than the Home team will have first choice of sideline and the color of uniform it prefers to wear
Visiting team will select the uniform Jersey Color and will have the initial kick off
Uniform color conflicts. Both teams must bring two sets of uniforms to each game, however if the referee determines there is a conflict, the home team will be required to change.
Tournament director will designate which side of the field will be for the teams and which side will be for the spectators. No persons are permitted behind the goals
The new US Soccer break out line and Standards of Play will be used for the 09
and 08 games.
Only the Tournament Director has the authority to end a match early.
Home team shall provide the game ball.
All players must wear shin guards.
SEMI-FINAL and CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES
All semi-final and Champion games will be the same length as pool play. If ending in a tie will go directly to FIFA penalty kicks.
Winner will be presented with Champion Cup. They will also receive individual player medals for the champions and finalist teams.
Points for preliminary matches are as follows:
Win = 6 points
Tie = 3 points
Loss = 0 points
Point will be added for every goal up to three goals.
Point will be added for a shutout.
No shutout point for a 0-0 tie
Forfeits – Teams will forfeit game if not present at start of game.
Pool Tiebreaker - The tiebreaker format is as follows:
Head to head competition.
Least goals against
Most goals scored
Red cards against (team with most is eliminated)
Yellow cards (team with most is eliminated)
FIFA kicks from the penalty mark.
CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE:
1. A code of conduct will be enforced for spectators and coaches. Action will be taken for any misconduct, by either the director or referee at the time of misconduct. Director and/or referee will have the right to cancel/forfeit the game in which will result in a 1-0 result or the result at the time of game cancellation.
2. Animals, smoking, verbal abuse of anyone, & alcohol is NOT allowed in and around the field.
3. Ejections – A player or coach sent o during a match is not allowed to play or coach in the next match, unless the otherwise approved by the director. The tournament director may take additional disciplinary action against a team or individual for serious offenses, including suspension from the remainder of the tournament and non-eligibility for future tournaments of that tournament committee. Passes for the player or coach are to be held by the tournament director until the suspensions are served. Coaches may not be located on the spectator’s side or coach or communicate with the team in any manner; players may sit with the team but may not be in uniform.
4. No accumulation of Yellow Cards will be applied to rule.
REFUNDS: No refunds will be permitted after the registration deadline of 7/15/2020.
Alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and pets of any kind are not allowed at any playing venue. (These are facility rules.)
